I am a supportive, friendly and warm person and I am honoured to accompany anybody on their own counselling journey. It takes a lot of courage to reach out for support and I wholeheartedly acknowledge this. I retrained as a counsellor later in my life, having always had a passion for supporting others and an understanding of the complexities of the world and how we fit in it individually. I felt that my life experience, knowledge, skills and thirst for learning and understanding could really aid others in exploring their own lives, experiences and feelings.
How we show up in this world is important because it’s not only about discovering who you really are, it’s about where you can thrive as yourself. At the core of who I am is a drive for change, on both an individual and a larger scale.
Change isn’t always easy or comfortable and I am aware of this when working with individuals. What I hope for you is that you can really feel that I am there supporting and guiding you through your process, however that looks.
When I’m not counselling, I spend a lot of time learning, outside in the world, and exploring my own creative hobbies and interests. I’m not here to be the expert on your life, I am a human just like you and I fundamentally believe in equality and collaboration. You will always find me professional, taking counselling and your journey seriously, with a real sense of humanity and honesty.
